Jesus told His disciples, "Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you" (John 6:27a). What is the food that endures for eternal life, which Jesus will give? "Endure" (μένω, meno) means 'to remain, to continue, and to continue to exist.' This food will be given by Jesus our LORD. This food will keep sustaining us to live in eternal life in this world and the world to come and we grow in Christ with this food too. Christian Faith is a mystery that the world cannot understand without faith. I will work for the food that endures for my eternal life today again. I am coming closer to God day by day. O, how sweet we find ourselves in His presence!
