There was a man sitting all day long at the temple gate called Beautiful. To live on he couldn't but help begging from those going into the temple courts because he was lame from birth. The Beautiful Gate was in the Court of the Gentiles. You can enter into Women's Court through the Beautiful Gate. If you want to get to the Court of Israelites, you must enter through the Nicanor Gate.   

Unfortunately, this lame man was always carried to the Beautiful Gate. It was only five or more feet far from the Holy Place. He was in the Court of the Gentiles which is a part of the temple but never came closer than this. His lameness blocked him to enter into the Holy Place to meet God.
